Showdown Quiz Opens UKinbound Convention 2011 With a Bang!
In Caribbean style surroundings expertly created by our hosts at Alton Towers, delegates sipped cocktails from coconut shells to the sounds of steel drums before taking their place in the LTC Showdown Quiz.
This upbeat approach to networking soon had guests talking, with each table at dinner forming a team in the quiz extravaganza. One’s choice of fellow diners was suddenly of great importance.... there were prizes to be won!
Themed rounds of questions displayed on strategically placed plasma screens were posed between courses. Early displays of confidence by certain teams gradually melted away as Team 17 slowly but surely crept into first place on the leader board. The worthy winners proved gracious in victory but did insist on wearing their prize medals all night long!
