The first truly hot day of summer made this Competitive Sightseeing challenge in York even more perfect for the team from Benenden Healthcare.

The historic city streets didn’t know what had hit them as our group of 120 sleuths hunted high and low for the answers to the cryptic clues. Each team was also armed with a digital camera for our bonus photo challenges – a chance for the guys to show some truly creative flair!

Throughout the morning, our teams searched the Shambles, explored the Museum Gardens, admired the magnificent Minster and clambered all over the city ancient wall. In one special challenge, teams solved a number of puzzles which led them to a secret location where they were rewarded with coffee and treats – much needed to keep the energy levels up!

Once back at base in the superbly located Monkbar Hotel, the teams tucked into a delicious lunch before taking their places for the Showdown Quiz.

With each quiz question relating directly to the clues the teams had solved, it soon became clear which team had the superior powers of observation and the Burgundy Team romped to victory.

Prize giving over, the teams headed off to continue their team bonding over a well-earned drink in the sun.
