Meet the Team

Behind the scenes Live The City Events has a great team who tirelessly work to ensure that your event is the very best we can make it.


The company itself was founded in 2004 by Robin Freebairn and Melody White who are self confessed treasure hunt nuts. Thankfully they are kept out of harms way by our lovely team of event staff including Matthew, Isabelle F, Paul L, Jane, Jenny and Isabelle L, Lesley and Susie.

Here are some little known facts about our team members...

Robin

Born in to a musical family, Robin has always been putting on a show whether be that playing in a funk band or (though he hates to admit it) performing magic in his teenage years as a member of the Supreme Magicians Club. His greatest trick was helping to deliver his son, Elliot, who decided to make an appearance at a petrol station en route to the hospital - now that's magic!

Melody

Aptly named by optomistic parents, in her spare time, Melody follows in her musical family's footsteps as lead singer in a band. She's also a bit of a closet luvvie and after a glass or two of wine will demonstrate her best 'jazz hands' on demand.

Paul Ed.

Our technical wizard, Paul’s a bit of an extreme sports nut and loves nothing more than hurtling down mountains on a snowboard. As a new Dad, his extreme activities now involve nappy changing and night-feeds.

Simon

Our lovely chairman, Simon is passionate about parrots and dreams of one day owning an African Grey which he can teach to say appalling things! He's a sailing nut and has been messing around in boats in North Norfolk since he was six.

Matthew

A life-long Ipswich Town supporter, Matthew’s also a bit handy on the pitch and plays no less than three times a week. He’s not bad with a cricket bat either.

Lesley

Lovely Lesley is our pocket sized Spanish Senorita. Born in the UK to Spanish parents, she’s bi-lingual and awfully useful in a tapas restaurant!

Jenny

Star of stage and screen, when she’s not working on Live The City Events, you might spot Jenny enjoying a G&T in the Queen Vic in her other job as a TV extra.

Paul L.

Another sporty team member! Paul has run no less than 5 marathons in his time – perfect training for all the running around we make him do now!

Jane

Jane has an encyclopedic knowledge when it comes to quizzes meaning the local pub quiz machine shut itself down when it notices Jane arriving!

Susie

Another treader of boards, Susie is the daughter of a well known illusionist and spends her free time being sawn in half as his glamorous assistant.

Isabelle F

Hailing from the French Alps, Isabelle has left the sun, snow and mountains behind to live it up with us here near the Fens........why?!

Isabelle L

The second of our French Isabelles, this one is an identical twin – all very confusing at times!
